Our bodies naturally reduce the production of collagen and we are slower to repair the tissues that thicken and strengthen skin. This can make skin look thinner and more delicate, and it makes it look looser and less firm. So with make up Less is more.

3. Use Medical Grade Sunscreen
If the fear of skin cancer doesn't persuade you to slather on sunscreen, maybe vanity will. Daily use of sunscreen significantly show the aging of skin caused by the suns ultraviolet rays.

4. Go for the Glow
I have noticed that my skin can appear dull, and is loosing the natural youthful glow but there are some fabulous products that can help your skin look brighter and more youthful

5. Use Liquid Makeup
I find that powder makeup can sink into the fine lines so try to replace as much of theses products with liquid. Liquid foundation have a number of skin-boosting benefits for mature skin. In the spirt of less is more, you don't need to use foundation all over. Instead focus on evening out your skin tone and covering up redness. l
- Great, blendable color coverage and will do a great job of evening out pale of sallow skin.
- Liquid foundations tend to flow over surface imperfections and don't accentuate enlarged pores and fine lines.
- Liquid foundations ofter include ingredients that help to hydrate skin and will improve the look of aging skin
- Conceal your eyes and face with caution. The skin around you eyes is more prone to fine lines and dehydration which can look dull over time. It is important to use a lightweight under-eye product and a small amount that won't highlight existing wrinkles and pat in out with your fingers to melt into the skin.
- Avoid full-coverage foundation products. These products can make lines and wrinkles more pronounced, so sticking with sheer to medium coverage products are better.
6. Place Contour high on the face for a lifted cheek bone
With age, a face contour is going to provide a natural shadow to the face. Putting it too low on our face will make you look older. This tip will give you and instant cheek lift.
7. Don't use setting powder
Setting powder will keep make up looking intact for a long period of time, but they can be drying for mature skin.
8. Stick with natural lip colours
As we Ade our lips are also subject to loosing their natural volume as they begin to loose moisture as we age. Se this makes it important to use lipstick and lip gloss in natural tones especially if the want the appearance of a fuller looking lip. Try a lip liner one shade deeper than your natural lip colour
9. Choose the right blush and bronzer products
Enhancing your face with blush and bronzer can definitely help your makeup pop, however its important to choose these products carefully as creamy products will keep the skin looking dewy and hydrated and they blend into the skin so it appears to shine through . Powder products tend to do the opposite.
10. Eye Shadow
As we get older, the skin around our eyes can become very susceptible to signs of ageing. With the development of more fine lines, hooded eyes and spots and dark circles we need to be particularly selective about our eyeshadows and make sure we choose ones which are specifically formulated for mature skin.
The key to a polished eye look is an eyeshadow that goes on smoothy and that will blend will. I find cream eyeshadow make your eyes look like snake skin.
Preparation is the key: Priming is an essential step for mature skin. As we mature our eyelids become hooded . So it's essential to apply a primer.

Lets talk Contouring and highlighting and how to get that Glowing skin with NUDESTIX
Highlighting and contouring has been around for a long time but has gained extensive popularity recently. Simply put it involves applying a darker contour and a lighter shimmer highlight make up to certain specific area of your face. Contouring helps make certain specific parts stand and appear slimmer and more defined.
For highlighter I suggest use a colour two shades lighter than your skin tone as you put this in the areas where you want to bring forward or simply conceal. These areas for most people would be the bridge of your nose, chin, under eye area and the middle of your forehead. For Contouring: you use a colour that is two shades darker as this is put on areas that you want to add more depth . For most people these areas are the inside of your nose, jawline, the hollow of your cheeks , your temples and the perimeter around your forehead.
You want to blend out all the harsh lines you created with contouring and highlighting . Contouring is meant to look as natural and effortless as possible. You can use a brush to blend or a sponge. I set my make up with a translucent powder so that the makeup will not easily wipe off. My Review: I have used the Nudies all over face colour for abut a month and love the dewy skin brightening bronzer and highlighter. Con's

Tightling is the art of lining your upper water line, this is an illusion they call invisible eyeliner and its so fast and easy to do.
Why do this technique?
Eyeliner is my go-to product whenever I want to make my eyes pop.
The waterline is the inner rim of the eye between your eyes and the lash line . Putting eyeliner on to the water line make your eye lashes look fuller , while bringing out the natural shape of your eye and ladies it makes the eyes pop. Safety: I have been asked is it safe to apply eyeliner to the waterline? To ensure safely. use clean makeup products and carefully apply them to the waterline to prevent eye irritation.
Tip: Tightening involves applying the eyeliner close to your eyeball, so the best eyeliner is a waterproof formula. |
5 Minute Minimalist Makeup with Tightline techniqueTightline is ofter called Invisible eyeliner. This actually refers to that eye so subtle appearance of a tighline eye.
This is Tightling# 2: The minimal "No makeup is basically the bare minimum, focussing on the steps of application that the number of products. Tightening is championed in the beauty world for its ability to create the illusion of a fuller, darker lashes and add definition to the eyes., while maintaining a No makeup feel. So this is the perfect technique to use when you want a minimal makeup look.
My look is simple today using very few products. Always start your morning with a clean face. I love the Zo skin Health complexion renewal pads, never miss this step. I have used the Charlotte Tilbury Bronzer and highlighter all over my face to achieve this fast makeup look. I put the highlighter all over my face and used the bronzer as an eyeshadow. Bronzer is a fast way to warm your face and create more definition and this product has multiple uses: What I used

Foundation : Never put foundation on your eyelids as a base. This will cause your make-up to crease. And please blend the foundation into your neck. I find when you want your foundation to have a light natural coverage, use your fingertips and dot it all over your face and then blend. If you need a heavier coverage use a beauty blender or a brush.
Powder: Always apply powder to your T-zone. This is where you are usually oily. Then do a light dusting all over your face. During the day you can add more to get rid of the shine.
Bronzer: Put bronzer on your neck, face and chest. This is a magic make-up as it can even out your skin tone. Its a favourite of mine, I love the natural glow it gives your skin. Please step back to make sure everything is the same colour. A big NO, is don't go to dark or orange. Not a good look.
Blush: When you apply your blush, smile, the dust the apples of your cheeks. Then sweep towards the top of your ears as well as towards the jawline.
Eyeshadow: First Prep the lids with a matte base shadow that matches the lightest part of your face. I prefer make-up that has allot of pigment in them. Don't be afraid of shimmer. I hear women say it makes them old. This is false. Dust a darker colour on your eyelids and up to the brow bone. The next trick, do a backward C from the lashes to the crease line. This you do in a darker shade. In the corner of your eye put a light shimmery shadow, this makes your eyes pop and makes you look more awake. I continue with the light shimmery shadow along the lower lashes. This again makes your eyes pop.
Eyeliner: There are so many shades available now. For a less dramatic look try a brown or wine depending on your eye colour. Get as close to the mirror as you can, tilt your head up and bring your chin down towards the mirror. Look down when you apply starting at the inner corner and working your way out. If you make a mistake I find the easiest fix is to smudge it. Use a eyeshadow brush, you can get packs of these at any drug store.
Mascara: Sweep the want through the roots of your lashes and zigzag as you work your way up. For a more dramatic look add another coat. With colour, get the blackest you can get. This is coming soon.
Eyelashes: So I have found a brand called Tori Belle Magnetic eyelashes. These are fantastic. FAB-U-LASH. So you put a line of magnetic liquid eyeliner on. Wait for two minutes for it to dry, then apply a second coat. After the second coat dry's you place your trimmed eyelash over the eyeliner and it pops on.
This product is so incredible that I have partnered with Tori Belle Cosmetics. Check out the site at
https://shop.toribellecosmetics.com/Alwaysfabulous/Home
Eyebrows: Trace the pencil salon the top [art of your brows. Please try to get an exact match and don't go too dark.
Lipstick: A trick I learned form my husbands grandmother. Her lipstick always looked perfect. Start in the middle and work your way out to the corners of your mouth before you blot. Yes blot! Another tip, place a blotting pad over your lips and blot with powder on top of the paper.
No matter how the trends will change throughout the years, these tricks will last you a lifetime.
Have fun.
